About Dr. Daniel Welch, DC
Driven by a personal motivation to help others through alternative medicine, Dr. Welch was compelled to learn more about chiropractic and treatment for back pain after his mother had experienced life-changing results that saved her from undergoing serious back surgery. With an appreciation for the body’s ability to heal itself, when functioning at optimal levels, Dr. Welch extended his education to include chiropractic medicine.
After graduating Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Welch completed his externship at Buffalo Veteran’s Administration Hospital in New York. Again earning honors, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Ithaca, New York; after which, he would obtain post-graduate certifications in nutrition, radiology, prenatal care, biomechanics, and extremity rehabilitation.
Moving to Reno in 2005, he concentrated his efforts on growing his practice through holistic, alternative medicines while empowering his patients with comprehensive knowledge, helping them to improve their lives through optimal wellness.
Dr. Welch serves both our Longley Lane and Round Mountain offices.
About Nicolas Riley DC
While earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology at Brigham Young University, Dr. Riley found his passion in Human Anatomy. After learning more about the human spine and how it works, he was motivated to extend his education to include chiropractic. Graduating as valedictorian of his class at Western States Chiropractic College, Dr. Riley began to focus on delivering chiropractic care to address the issues of the extremities.
Understanding that hips, shoulders and knees were problematic for a large portion of the population, Dr. Riley prefers to help his patients with comprehensive chiropractic care while teaching them ways to help themselves heal more quickly through stretches, postures and pain-relieving exercises. He is supported by the belief that conservative, natural restorative methods help patients avoid harmful drugs and unnecessary surgical procedures.
Serving the local community for more than eight years, Dr. Riley is a great addition to our chiropractic team. Married with four children, he enjoys the sunshine and outdoor recreation that Northern Nevada has to offer.
About Kimberly Nelson DC
During her schooling at the University of Nevada, Reno, Kimberly Nelson first learned about the philosophies and benefits of chiropractic medicine while working as a receptionist for a local chiropractor. Intrigued by the alternative medicine, Dr. Nelson enrolled at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Participating in a clinic abroad program in Fiji, she extended her education while providing much-needed chiropractic care to the local community. Graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2014, Dr. Nelson returned to Reno to serve her hometown.
Certified in Webster’s Technique through the International Pediatric Association (ICPA), Dr. Nelson finds it especially rewarding to work with children and pregnant women. By using the above technique, she has helped many women experience better birthing experiences that protect the health of both the infant and the mother.
As a former college athlete, Dr. Nelson is extremely active, enjoying hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding and running marathons. Supported by her family, Dr. Nelson has been helping us serve the Reno community with high-quality chiropractic care.
